[Waiting for user feedback] Two issues with Divi pages and WPML translations — forced queue step and “Story” page not show...
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
I am experiencing two separate issues related to Divi pages and WPML translations on our multilingual site hidden link. I want to ensure that translated pages sync properly without needing extra steps and to fix the 'Story' page translation issue.
Symptoms:
For all translated pages, once the translation is marked 100% complete in the WPML translation editor, the translated content does not appear on the frontend immediately. The 'Story' page does not show the translation and does not appear in the Translation Queue.
Questions:
Confirm if these two issues are known with Divi and WPML.
Suggest a permanent fix so that translated pages sync properly without needing the forced queue step.
Advise how to fix the 'Story' page specifically, since it does not show in the Translation Queue and its translation is never displayed on the frontend.
If you still have no clue what is this about, I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Thank you for your help — I confirm that the page is fully translated now.
However, I have another issue:
When I update a block of text in the French version (because we were not satisfied with the automatic translation), the styling (fonts, alignment, spacing) of this block is lost on the frontend.
You can see the problem on our Home page, specifically in the section with the title “The Essence of LAYÂN”.
When I change the text in French and save, the block loses its original design.
After that, the page appears in the Translation Queue with the status “In progress”, but even when I mark it as complete, the styling does not always return correctly.
Could you please clarify:
What is the correct way to manually update a translation like this without breaking the Divi layout styling?
How should we handle pages that stay stuck “In progress” in the queue after editing — is there a recommended step to force a proper regeneration?
Thank you very much for your help and your clear instructions.
Best regards,
Paul
