We updated our version of WPML last month.
We upgraded from 4.5.8 to 4.6.5.
There was no problem before the version up.
Previously registered glossaries were not reflected in the translation.
I registered Japanese names and registered English, Chinese, and Thai to be translated into English capital letters, but it was not reflected at all.
I have tested translating only words, and sometimes it works, but in sentences, all the names I have registered in the glossary do not work.
I know that the specifications have changed and I have changed the TYPE part of the word registration to NAME, but it still fails.
I would like to solve this problem as soon as possible and I would like to know how to fix it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Glossaries only can be applied using Automatic Translation if you use DeepL as the original translation engine.
For the other engines and manual translation, glossaries act as a recommendation.
Here is the exact quote:
You can use the glossary with automatic translation if you use DeepL to translate your site. DeepL uses artificial intelligence (AI) to adapt the translation to the text. It makes sure the term uses correct grammar and follows the right sentence structure. This only works for languages DeepL supports.
For languages not supported by DeepL, translation engines Google Translate and Microsoft Azure, or your team of professional translators, the translations you input serve as recommendations.
I was using automatic translation DEEPL, but it did not work. I checked other inquiries and it says that words that have already been automatically translated are not reflected in the glossary, even if they are registered. https://wpml.org/forums/topic/the-glossary-isnt-used-consistently-by-the-at/
Do I need to reset the translation memory in that case?
Can you tell me how to reset the translation memory?
Please check.
Hello.
The customer is urging us to do so. Could you please reply as soon as possible?
When I was registering Glossary on the production site today, it was not saved no matter how many times I registered in Chinese. Is this a BUG too?
Please check.
There is not built-in way to delete the translation memory. It is possible from our server side, but that means you will lose all the automatic translations that you had on your website.
Regarding the second question, new translations should have the ability to use the Glossary if you use DeepL.
I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.
Make sure you set the next reply as private.
I will try to add a Glossary item and dd a test page there and see the result.
Thank you for your confirmation.
Now, we will pray that this will be corrected as soon as possible and await your notification.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
A new version of the ATE server has been deployed and by my testing on a clean installation now everything works. The text in question is not highlighted but the translation shows.
Would you please double-check here?

I created a Glossary item ジョナサン and translated it to ジョナサンHANS
Now if you add a new page and use the word in the sentence it detects the word correctly and translates it. (please check the screenshot)
But the text is not highlighted.
Thanks.
