This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with WPML where fields show as 100% translated after saving, but the WordPress dashboard indicates incomplete translation with some fields having an orange light, this might be due to a known bug. This issue often occurs when translations are performed quickly, and it seems to affect various fields randomly, particularly when using Elementor and Bricks Builder.
Solution:
We recommend reopening the translation and saving the segment for a second time. This workaround has helped some clients while we continue to develop a permanent fix. Our developers were aware of this issue and already applied a solution.

If this solution does not resolve the issue or if it reoccurs, it might be due to the problem being outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate fields using WPML and save them. When I click save, it indicates 100% translated. However, when I return to the WordPress dashboard, it shows that not everything is translated. This issue can be seen on this short video I recorded for you on a small translation work : hidden link
This bug appears on a lot of website we work but we took this one as an example.

Symptoms:
After saving translations, the dashboard WordPress still shows the wheel indicating incomplete translation. Some fields have an orange light next to them, suggesting they weren't saved and translated.

Questions:
Why does WPML show incomplete translation after saving even if everything was completed and 100%?
How can I ensure that translations are fully saved and completed? We lose times with that.

Hello,

Our apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for the provided details.

We do currently have a known issue where specific fields are saved as drafts after translating them for the first time.

May I ask which fields are affected in your case?

Currently, the only solution to solve the issue is to open the translation again and save the segment for a second time.

Our developers are already working on a solution for this issue.

In case re-saving the segments will not solve the issue, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

I suspected it was a bug since we had this problem on all our multilingual sites from time to time.

We mainly use Elementor and Bricks Builder, so we often have this bug when we want to translate these text field, rich text field, button, etc... It's totally random.

We have the impression that when we work more slowly between each translated field, the bug appears less, it's often when we go fast that the bug appears, a bit like that the link between your site and our site was not well done.

Do you have a date for the bug fixe ?

Thank you.

Indeed, we also see that it is kind of a random issue.

The fix is currently still in testing and should be available soon. It might maybe take a few more weeks.
