This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to use WPML Media Translation, which appears installed and active in your plugins but shows as inactive under WPML support. A message prompts you to complete the setup to make WPML Media Translation fully functional, but you are unable to stop or activate it.
Solution:
1. Navigate to WPML->Settings->Media Translation.
2. Ensure the following options are checked:
- Translate existing media in all languages
- Duplicate existing media for translated content
- Duplicate the featured images for translated content
3. Click the start button and allow the process to complete, which might take some time depending on the total number of posts and media files.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to use Media translation, which is installed and active in 'my plugins' but is inactive under WPML 'support'.

Symptoms:
The message 'To make WPML Media Translation fully functional, it is necessary to complete this setup, which only takes a short time depending on the total number of posts in your WordPress installation.' is shown with a button to stop setup; I cannot stop or activate it. The WPML media translation is not being installed correctly.

Questions:
Why is WPML Media Translation inactive under WPML 'support'?
How can I complete the setup for WPML Media Translation?

Hi,

Ive completed the media translations under settings. I am still seeing the same setup message. under Media translation. Also the support section still shows WPML Media as not installed.

Hello 🙂

To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.

So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
