Tell us what you are trying to do?
1. I do not want the footer to be in English language when I use the other languages in WPML. The language does not change when I change language at the site.
2. When I go to pages in the admin menu and press the Danish translate pencil for the "home" page I am asked to translate from Swedish(default language) to Danish. However the English translation text shown and not the Swedish text. See attached picture. For all other pages the Swedish text is shown and not the English, as it should be.
This is confusing as the "home" page shows the correct Swedish text for the Swedish site when you visit the main site. However I suspect that this might confuse google when people search for the webpage. Right now the search results show both English pages and Swedish with in the same search.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
1. No
2. No

Is there a similar example that we can see?
1. Visit my webpage hidden link and have a look at the footer.
2. No, as you need to enter my admin page. But see attached picture.

What is the link to your site?
hidden link

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

1. I checked your site and noticed that you're using the Footer of the OceanWP theme. In order to see the Footer contents correctly in other languages, you need to translate the Footer. Kindly follow the instructions mentioned in the ticket below and I hope it will help to solve the issue.

2. Swedish contents are not showing in the Translation Editor: It seems the language information hasn't been propagated correctly for the contents, which could be the root of the issue. Please follow the steps below and check if that helps to solve the issue.

- Take a full backup of the site first.
- Please go to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting"
- Click on the buttons mentioned in this screenshot: hidden link
- Once the process is completed, open the default Homepage in the WordPress editor and make a small change in the title(just add a character or dot ".")
- Save the changes, clear the caches completely from the site and browser, and try to update the translation.

I hope it will help. Feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit

Hi, thanks for the support. I completed second issue successfully I believe. However a different issue came up when I tried to revisit the home page English translation. Now it is just buffering and I do not get in to the advanced translator on this page. See uploaded image.
Could you assist here?

Hello There,
Glad to hear that the previous issues are resolved now.

As per our support policy, we are allowed to discuss about one issue per ticket. It helps to maintain clarity in each ticket. Since the issue you mentioned in the last response is a different one, I kindly request you to create a new ticket for that. Our support team will check and help you to find a solution for the issue.

If the issues you've reported initially in this ticket is solved now, would you please mark this ticket as resolved?

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
