[Resolved] Blog comments widget only works in site language
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: If you're using JetEngine with a Custom Post Type for a blog page and have added a Post Comments widget using the Elementor Single Post template, you might find that the comment form works in the original language but is not visible in other languages. Solution: We recommend checking the translation status of your templates. In this case, the template translations had the status "Update needed". Completing the translations to 100% resolved the issue, making the comment sections visible on the translated posts. You can access the translations at WPML > Translation Dashboard. Here you can create a job, and send it to automatic translation or assign it to yourself and access it at WPML > Translation to translate the job with the Advanced Translation Editor.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hi,
I use JetEngine with a Custom Post Type for a blog page. I use the Elementor Single Post template and added a Post Comments widget. For a visitor in English (original language) the form works, but in other languages the comment form is not visible. I tried everything I could but can't get it to work. Comments are allowed in all languages, so that is not the problem. Please help.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out!
I have created a test site with Elementor PRO and WPML on a default theme, created a single post template, and a post that is both translated.
It might be that this issue is related to JetEngine and/or JetElements for Elementor.
Please install the latest versions of those plugins in the following test site, so that we can run further tests.

It would be very helpful if you could try to replicate the issue with a new test CPT and content on this test site, and leave me a comment once you are done with this test.
If you do not have the time to run these tests, please simply install the latest versions of the plugins and let me know once the site is ready for testing.
Could you maybe check in the backend of my website? I don't really have time to run tests, and rather have help with my real website. I can give credentials.

Hello,
It would be sufficient if you could install the latest version of the mentioned plugins on the sandbox.
This way I can try to replicate the issue and take further steps, as I am suspecting that this might be a compatilbity issue that requires further escalation, and we do not have access to JetEngine or JetElements plugins.
Anyhow, I'd be happy to take a closer look at this on your site or even better on a staging on which I can work without affecting the production site.
I'd like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.
You'll find the necessary fields below the comment section if you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide will be private, meaning only you and I will be able to see and access it.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to create a backup of the website and database before granting us access.
If you don't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your login credentials for the post and website will be set to "PUBLIC." Do NOT publish the information unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.
I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to create a copy of the website on which I can investigate the problem more thoroughly.
I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site on your server for this purpose.
If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, please contact your hosting provider. Please ensure that WPML is also registered on this staging site at https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/.
If you are unable to provide such a copy of the website for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

The Elementor Templates are located at Templates > All Templates.
There you find similar translation options like on Post > All Posts or Pages > All pages.
The same translation options can be found inside the right sidebar of the WordPress Editor when editing the original content.
An overview and global translation control system can be found at WPML > Translation Dashboard by filtering for Templates. Here you can see the current translation status and create jobs to send for translation. If you assign such a translation to yourself, you can access it at WPML > Translations.
