Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm trying to translate the phrase "Product attribute" into Italian but I didn't find anywhere this string and I asked also to the Woodmart Theme to fix it but they said to me that is a WPML problem.

Is there a similar example that we can see?
I attached the screenshot of a product page all translated in Italian except for the string "product Attributes"

What is the link to your site?
I share the same link as the screenshot hidden link

If you need I can provide you with the staging site access.

PS. I inform you that the memory limit of the website is already increased although you can't see it on the debug info.

Hi there.

Before this ticket gets assigned to my colleagues, I will try to help.

The proper way to translate strings depends a lot on how they have been implemented inside the theme/plugin.

Sometimes, there are even duplicates of the same string and only one of them is the correct one that needs to be translated.

Also, sometimes, simply removing the string (checking the box and removing it) and then re-registering it again by scanning for it (one of the methods below) and re-translating it resolves the issue.

1. Please try this:

Go to WPML > String Translation and at the bottom of the page you will find a checkbox called "Look for strings while pages are rendered". You can enable (check) that and then go in the front end to a page where you have that string showing up and then go back to WPML > String Translation and search for that string and see if it now shows up.

2. If you can't find them inside the WPML > String Translation, they might be added as admin text.

This should be the normal process to find and translate admin text strings:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

Please let us know how that goes.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hello Mihai,
thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, as I verified before, I checked again with your instructions but I can't find the strings.

Thank you for your support.

Hi there and thank you for the update.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Hi and thank you for the credentials.

I can confirm that I was able to log in successfully.

I am spending more time on this and I will get back to you as soon as I have more feedback.

I will leave the ticket assigned to myself for the moment.

Hi Manuele.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still digging on this.

What's happening here is pretty interesting so I'm still trying to figure out a couple of things, including where is that exact text coming from (let me know if you manually added it somewhere - this might help me better understand the setup).

I will get back to you as soon as I have any updates.

I'm leaving the ticket assigned to myself.

Hello Mihai,
thank you for your support.

I can tell you that we created the product layout with Elementor and you can find it in: Layouts--> Layouts --> New single product

In this layout there is the phrase that I told you.

Let me know if it helped you.

Regards,

Manuele.

Hi Manuele.

Yes, that definitely helped!

So, the issue that I think was happening here is that this custom post type (the Layouts > Layouts) one was set as NOT TRANSLATABLE (check my screenshot).

I set it as translatable now.

So you will see that this layouts element that you mentioned for the single product was created from the EN backend:
hidden link

So what you would need to do now is go to WPML > Translation Management > find this layout and duplicate it into IT.

Then, after you duplicate it, go here (hidden link) - this will show you the duplicated layout.

You should then be able to open it with Elementor and translate that wording to whatever language you want.

Please let me know how that goes.

Mihai
