Background of the issue:
I am trying to display 'English' as an option in the language picker on in-language blog posts using WPML. In the WPML 'Languages' options, I have enabled the post translations language switcher to display between the featured image and the blog post copy.
Symptoms:
The language picker shows up fine on the English page, but on the Spanish page, there's no link back to the English version of the post. The text currently reads: 'Este post también está disponible en:'.
Questions:
Is there a way to display a link back to the English version of the post?
How can I change the text to read: 'Este post también está disponible en: Íngles'?
Thank you for contacting WPML support. Before your ticket is assigned to a supporter, I’d like to provide some detailed steps to help you resolve the issue.
It seems that when translating the string "This post is also available in: %s" the %s placeholder is being removed in the translations. This placeholder is essential, as it represents the translation links. Please follow the steps below to correct this:
1. Navigate to WPML -> String Translations in your WordPress dashboard.
2. Search for the string "This post is also available in: %s".
3. Review the translations and ensure that the %s placeholder is included, as it is necessary for the translation links to work correctly.
Let me know if these steps resolve the issue or if you need further assistance.
