This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
After migrating from SiteGround to Elementor Hosting, the client is experiencing issues with the language switcher on their website. The switcher is not responding when switching from English to French and vice versa. Additionally, the footer language switcher does not display on the French pages, and there are redirection issues to the default language page.
Solution:
1. Enable the Footer language switcher from WPML >> Language page to test if that switcher works.
2. Clear the browser cache and try accessing the site with different browsers.
3. Check for any server or hosting-level redirects that might be affecting the language switcher, such as .htaccess, server configuration, or caching/CDN settings.
4. Visit the WPML >> Support >> Troubleshooting page and press the 'I have cleared the Elementor Host Advanced Caching' button.
5. Attempt to access the French-speaking front page via https://alarme-maison.ca and then try switching languages.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be due to outdated solutions or specific configurations not covered here. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
