Hi Support, 
We keep experience this reoccurring issue on our live site where the header menu keeps being edited. Here is a video showing the problem hidden link

We have identify this as the core issue:
WP Menus Sync is forcing the CA-EN menu structure onto the US and CA-FR versions.
Deleted Custom Links are being automatically queued up to be re-injected.
The auto_add parameter is active and pushing items back.

Please send the 

exact Workflow to manage a Mega Menu with Custom Links without triggering this auto-population loop.

I’ve reviewed the video and can identify the issue. Could you please provide some recorded steps that reproduce this problem? Are you running menu synchronization from WPML->WP Menu Sync?

If you’re using mega menus, the most suitable option would be to manually configure menus in the available languages using the top-bar, as demonstrated in the video.

- we are not sure what produces this problem, it just keeps happening. our guest as explained on the first comment is that it happens whenever an update on the plugin is made. It seems the menu sync is done manually

- yes we always manually fix this issue. but the menu keeps changing without authorization

Can you get more info on the plugin that's updated? Can you ask them to record the process so it becomes easier to debug this further?

I want to reiterate that when the menu changes is randomly and we do not know what is causing it. all we know is what the core issue is and need from you the exact Workflow to manage a Mega Menu with Custom Links without triggering this auto-population loop.

To assist you further, we’ll need clear steps to reproduce the issue. Unfortunately, without being able to replicate it on our end, it becomes very difficult for us to investigate or provide a solution.

As mentioned earlier, please review the following errata to see if it resolves the issue:https://wpml.org/errata/wp-menu-sync-translation-of-custom-menu-items/

Additionally, I recommend setting up a staging site and disabling all plugins and themes except WPML. Then, repeat the same steps you’re performing on the live site to check whether the issue might be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.
