This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to translate their website using WPML's pay-as-you-go system despite having activated it. They encounter messages stating insufficient credits and are prompted to register for pay-as-you-go again when trying to activate automatic translation.
Solution:
If you're experiencing similar issues with the pay-as-you-go system in WPML, here are the steps we recommend:
1. Check if you have hit the pay-as-you-go safety limit. WPML has two safety limits to prevent excessive spending and fraud, triggered at $100 and $4,000 of spending in a month. Once you reach these limits, you need to make a payment to continue.
2. To make a payment, go to WP > All Posts, select any post, and click on the "+" button. This will open the Advanced Translation Editor where you can click on Add Credits.
3. If you want to translate specific pages or posts using automatic translation, ensure that these contents are selectable for translation in your WPML settings.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If these steps do not resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate my website, hidden link, using WPML. I have activated the pay-as-you-go system for translations.

Symptoms:
I am unable to translate the website because it says I don't have enough credits, even though I have activated the pay-as-you-go system. Additionally, when I try to activate automatic translation, I am redirected to register for pay-as-you-go.

Questions:
Why am I being told I don't have enough credits despite having activated the pay-as-you-go system?
Why am I being ordered to register for pay-as-you-go when I try to activate automatic translation when I have already activated it?

Hi there,

Thanks for your patience. Here is the ticket. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your Website where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply.

This is how you trigger the safety limit payment as shown in this screen recording hidden link . Go to WP > All Posts > Go to any posts > Click on "+" button and Advanced Translation Editor will open > Click on Add Credits

Thank you for your help. I have a question regarding the pay-as-you-go system. Initially, I assumed that all pages on my website could be translated first, and the credit usage would be billed at the end of the month. However, I now see that I need to make a payment before continuing with the translations. Could you please provide more details on how this pay-as-you-go system works?

Thanks for your reply.

You've hit the threshold for Pay as you go safety limit. There are two safety limits that prevent you from accidentally spending too much and protect us from fraud. These limits occur the first time you spend $100 and $4,000 in one month. So in other words, once you reach the first limit, you will then be asked to pay and can continue translating.

Ok, thank you for your explanation. Before that, I have a question: Can I choose the page or post I want to translate if I use automatic translated? because in my wpml, it seems that this contents are being translated

Thanks for your reply.

Those are Avada layouts, this is optional for translation. For Posts/Pages, I can only see these as shown in the attached screenshot. If you want to translate them, select all and click on "Translation Method" > "Automatic Translation" at the bottom of this page hidden link
