This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are trying to translate a scroll to anchor link on your WordPress site using WPML, but when you translate the link, the anchor ID gets removed. This causes the page not to scroll to the intended ID.
Solution:
To ensure your translated links retain their anchor IDs, follow these steps:
1. Access the original page: Go to your WordPress admin and navigate to Pages. Find the original (English) page that contains the footer link you're trying to translate.
2. Open the translation in WPML Translation Editor: Next to the original page, you'll see language flags. Click the pencil icon for the French language to open the page in WPML's Translation Editor (ATE).
3. Locate and verify the anchor link: In the Translation Editor, search for the text of your link and ensure the anchor ID is correctly included in the translation.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
