This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported issues with a third-party plugin not displaying the current language correctly for customers. When switching languages, the displayed language did not update, continuing to show the previous language. Additionally, the client faced problems with the language switcher in the Astra theme, where the dropdown list was not functioning.
Solution:
We requested temporary access to the client's site to diagnose and resolve the issue. We recommended taking a full backup of the website and database before proceeding, suggesting the use of the Duplicator plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/). After gaining access and investigating, the issue with the language switcher was resolved, ensuring it functioned correctly.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
