Background of the issue:
We've been trying to translate blogs manually and upload back via xliff export/import. Followed your documentation. Downloaded xliff files, translated, but when uploading back we receive an error.

Symptoms:
The uploaded xliff does not seem to properly formed.

Questions:
Why am I receiving the error 'The uploaded xliff does not seem to properly formed' when uploading translated xliff files?
What steps can I take to troubleshoot and resolve this xliff upload error?

Hi there,

Please open the XLIFF file and make sure all source content is translated into target content. The target should not be empty, if you do not want to translate source content, add a dot (.) to the target content.

Let me know your results, please.

Hi Bobby! Thanks for the advice, however I've already read through some topics on this forum and tried to check the most obvious solutions. It looks to me perfectly formatted. Can I share the xliff I want to upload with you so you could quickly check?

Thank you for sharing the XLIFF with me!

Please edit it and change the period "." in the translation, I wonder if this would be causing this issue.

I am receiving this warning for the first 2 lines (see screenshot)

Thanks Bobby!
That did help to import the file without errors, however it turned out that only the blog title translation appeared on the translated page for some reason. Body text was missing. Could you please try to find cause of this issue?

Thanks in advance

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby
