WPML has a bug (maybe more likely to happen, the more languages are added?) in that it classifies the incorrect version as the correct version.
In thise case, the original version is English, but for some reason it classified the French as original.
following the above-mentioned guide, there is no way of splitting the English version, and then re-attaching the French. (see attachment)
How can this bug be solved, or is this something WPML is aware of and in the works of fixing?

PS: with Polylang, for instance, this is much simpler. You just delete the connection, whereafter the language field will be empty, you type the name of the page you want to connect, done. WPML does not seem to have that capability out-of-the-box though.
Please confirm that the issue is fixed, and I'll close the ticket.
