<b>Background of the issue: </b>
We need to translate the header and footer on our site: hidden link. We have translated elementor-7026 and elementor-1675 in the string translation, but the Chinese translation is not showing. Below is the website login: login link: [supporter removed]

<b>Symptoms: </b>
The Chinese translation for the header and footer is not showing despite translating the relevant elements in the string translation.

<b>Questions: </b>
Why is the Chinese translation for the header and footer not showing?
Is there a specific step we are missing in the translation process for headers and footers?

Hi Jade,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

I see that the header template is created in the admin area > Header Templates, and setup in Appearance > Customize > Header settings.

I suggest you follow steps below to translate the header and display it in the frontend, after that you can do the same for the footer.

1. Translate the header template.
2. Go to WPML > String Translation > Click on "Translate texts in admin screen".
3. Search for the header ID in the English language (1675) > Add the string to String Translation.
4. Translate the ID with the translation header ID.

Please follow documentation
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/
