Hi, I have problem with multicurrency addon. I have two languages: czech and english, also two currencies, CZK and EUR. Until now, I had CZK for czech language, and EUR for english. But I needed to achieve different behavior: CZK for Czech republic, and EUR for everywhere else. So I switched from currencies based on site language to currencies based on client location. I entered maxmind key and set up everything.
Languages: English (English )German (Deutsch )French (Français )
Timezone: Europe/Zagreb (GMT+02:00)
Please provide us with database and files as it was before this happened (for WordPress files, please exclude all the media files to keep the zip file smaller).
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.
I edit the product in the original language CZ > Correct the price > Save > Update the translation. Then the price in EUR currency is displayed as well in the frontend, please check the screenshot attached.
Let me know if it works on your end.
Yes, this solve the secondary problem with wrong prices. But this problem is caused by primary problem, which is described in my first message. If I switch from currency based on site language to currency based by client location, it doesn't work properly and messes up the prices. Please examine further. Thanks.
The currency is now shown based on the client's location, please check the screenshot attached. If you see the product price is wrong, you can update the product in the original language (CZ) to fix the issue as I mentioned above.
Hi,
I managed to get out this mess by checking the product prices one at the time and fix the prices.
But It doesn't solve the cause but only the consequence.
This happened when switching between "site language" and "client location". It caused mess in product meta. Not only prices were wrong, but also currencies.
Please provide permanent solution. I like WPML and I use it on many sites. I have been satisfied with your product so far, so please continue to improve your product. Thanks.
Glad to hear it works on your end. I've tried to replicate the issue on my demo site but do not see that. Switching the currency setting between "Site Language" and "Client Location" doesn't cause the issue. Maybe it is a specific issue on your site only and re-save the product will help.
If it is possible, please help me replicate the issue on a clean installation of WordPress. You can access the admin area directly with this link hidden link
Then let me know steps to replicate it.
Thanks.
