Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and want to translate pages using Elementor. I prefer not to use the WPML translation editor because it is too slow.

Symptoms:
The translation editor takes too long to translate each line.

Questions:
Can I duplicate the page as with normal WordPress and then use Elementor to swap the translated text?
Can I bypass the translation editor and translate independently using Elementor?

Hey there,

Yes, to do that, you can use the "WordPress Editor" option, which allows you create and edit translation using the WP Editor, and thus Elementor.

To do that, simply select that option inside the WP Editor of a page, as shown in the images. You can then choose if it will apply to all pages, only to the current one etc.

Once you click the "+" sign to add a translation, you can choose to copy the content from the original, so you can just replave the parts you need. Make a few tests and use the tool so you can check how it works in practice.

P.S: Please note that there's also an option to duplicate, or overwrite. Don't use those, as the translations will stay as duplicates, always in sync with the original.
