This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

You are unable to finalize translations using the advanced editor, and the translation progress shows only 96% completion.

Solution:

First, ensure that you publish the translation if it is still in the review state. If the issue persists, follow these steps:

1) Open the Page for editing in the default language.
2) Make a minor change and update the Page to refresh the translation settings.
3) Go to WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard.
4) Select the Page you want to translate or update the existing translations.
5) Send it to the Translation Basket.
6) Navigate to WPML>>Translation Management>>Translation Basket.
7) Assign yourself as the translator and send it for translation.
8) Go to WPML>>Translations queue and translate the Page by clicking the Translate button.

Example page hidden link

I just tried to check the translations and links with the advanced editor. But it's not possible to finalise after x rounds and click the button to exit. Still there is only 96% translated. I don't understand. See attachement.

Hi Judith,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

Please check the attached image. I was able to translate the all fields now. But translation is still in review state. So can you please publish the translation and make sure the bug exists or not.

If the issue exists, please try the following steps after a backup and make sure the issue exists or not.

1) Open the Page for editing in the default language (the one having the issue)
2) Make a minor change in the Page and update it (to refresh the translation settings)
3) Visit WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard
4) Choose the Page you want to translate or update the existing translations
5) Send it to Translation Basket
6) Visit WPML>>Translation Management>>Translation Basket
7) Send it for translation, by choosing yourself as a translator
8) Visit WPML>>Translations queue and translate the Page by clicking the *Translate* button
