Hi, Welcome to WPML support. Yes — but only if the relationships are stored in a way WPML can copy between originals and translations, and you explicitly tell WPML to do so. Here’s the key point: Metabox relationships are saved as custom fields (post meta), so WPML needs to know to copy those fields from the original post to its translation. By default, WPML will not duplicate them unless you configure it. Please make sure you find what the custom field name is for that option and enable the translation or duplication of that in WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/ Also, please provide the debug information: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/ Thanks. |

According to Metabox support, Metabox relationships are not stored as custom fields. |

Hi, Thank you for the information. According to the Metabox documentation below: hidden link 1- You need to go to WPML > Translation Management and find the Metabox Relationships section and select them and send them for translation. Then you need to go to WPML > Translations, take those and complete the translation. 2- You need to translate the labels: hidden link If the problem persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website. Make sure you set the next reply as private. Also tell me where to look for the relationships Thanks |

The documents you are referencing are only for translating the labels. I did that. It doesn't assign the actual related posts to the translations. |

Thank you. I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website. Make sure you set the next reply as private. Also please tell us which relationship to check. If you give us the steps to see the relationship it will be great. Thanks. |

Thank you for this thorough investigation. That's actually what the Metabox support also told me. It's not a big hassle in this case, because the website is for a tiny business and not going to grow but for bigger dynamic multilingual websites, I imagine that it would make a lot of sense to just have the same relationsships as for the primary language set automatically. I can't imagine a scenario where the related posts would be radically different in a secondary language. But if the manual way is the only way, it will work as well. Thank you very much! |
