This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client translated a landing page and found that a specific CTA button, labeled 'Shop' in English and 'Butik' in Danish, did not point to the correct translated page. Despite scanning link targets in WPML settings, the issue persisted. The expected behavior was for the button to lead to the Danish version of the Shop page (/da/butik), but it redirected to the original page (/butik/).
Solution:
We reviewed the translation settings and discovered that the URL needed manual translation in the Advanced Translation Editor, as it was not automatically translating due to the target being an archive rather than a standard page. We manually translated the URL in the translation editor. For further guidance on translating URLs, shortcodes, and HTML attributes using the Advanced Translation Editor, please visit https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-urls-shortcodes-and-html-attributes-using-the-advanced-translation-editor/#translating-internal-links.
