Tell us what you are trying to do?

I'm trying to set up a root page for additional domains/subdomains I'm using.

For example:

Main/global website is at abc.com
Canadian English website is an alias en.abc.ca
Canadian French website is an alias fr.abc.ca

When someone tries abc.ca they would end up having a page from abc.com appear rather than one of the Canadian pages.

How do I set up a root (or splash) page only for the abc.ca domain (I don't want someone who types abc.ca to end up on abc.com) ?

I understand this is possible for directories but I'd like to know how to do this on a domain level. Is there a plugin that can do this or any technique?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/directory-default-language/

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Site is under development

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

The best option, in this case, will be to set a permanent redirection for the hidden link domain to hidden link. Most of the hosting providers will be supporting it and it will be good for SEO also.

Please refer to the following article for more details and let us know your feedback.
