Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate custom fields created with the CPT UI plugin on my site hidden link using WPML. I have adjusted the settings under Settings > Custom Fields Translation from 'Don't translate' to 'Translate' and saved the changes.

Symptoms:
Despite changing the settings to 'Translate', the custom fields do not appear in the translation interface. They are also not visible under Strings and Taxonomies, nor do they appear as options to translate in the custom post itself.

Questions:
Why are the custom fields not appearing in the translation interface after setting them to 'Translate'?
How can I make the custom fields visible for translation in WPML?

Please let me know the name of the custom fields that are not showing and which post I can check where they should be showing up. Thanks!

Hi Lauren,

It is about the 'Leden' post type. I can not translate these posts.

You don't have the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual installed, this is required for ACF to work with WPML. You need to add this add on and then follow the documentation here to set the fields as translatable: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/

You can add it by going to Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial and it will be listed in the list of plugin options.

I installed the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin. I now had the option to translate some types of the custom fields. But I still can't translate the different posts I made with the Custom fields.

I'm sorry, I change another setting in the settings of WPML. 'Leden' was now in the list and I put it on translate. It is resolved. I hve another question.

I also have a widget of Essential add ons plugin. The event calendar plugin. The titels of the table I can not translate. I don't find them in the string translations or anywhere. This is on the page 'Partnerships'. The words 'Location, info and date' has to be translated. ButI can't find it anywhere.
