This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where WPML automatically adds a newsletter layout part to your Spanish version every time you publish a new post, and it translates the part in a mix of English and Spanish, this might be due to the use of different editors for translations.
Solution:
We recommend using either the WPML editor or a manual editor consistently for translating a page to avoid such issues. You can set your preferences for each page by following this guide: Using Different Translation Editors for Different Pages.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Additionally, if you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I have a site in Danish, which is translated into EN and ES. On the Danish and English version, there's a layout part in the bottom of the front page where people can subscribe to my newsletter. I have edited the front pages in the different languages manually, as they shall be different. So I have made the Spanish version without the Newsletter subscription option. Unfortunately, every time I publish a new post, WPML automatically adds the newsletter layout part to the Spanish version. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
WPML automatically adds the newsletter layout part to the Spanish version every time I publish a new post. WPML translates the part in a mix of English and Spanish.

Questions:
How can I prevent WPML from automatically adding the newsletter layout part to the Spanish version?
Why does WPML translate the newsletter part in a mix of English and Spanish?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. I’m happy to assist you with this issue.

Could you clarify if the layout part is included directly within the page? If you’ve manually made changes to the secondary language, please note that using WPML editors will override those changes, which is expected behavior.

It’s important to avoid mixing editors for translations. I recommend using either the WPML editor or a manual editor consistently for translating a page. You can set your preferences for each page by following this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/.

Regarding the language mix issue, could you please provide more details so I can assist you further?

I look forward to your response.

Best regards

Hello Shekar,

Thank you for your help. I will do so.

The language mix isn't a problem, when I change the way I translate.

Thanks,

Hanne
