Background of the issue:
I am trying to set a label for WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping with Umlauts ("über 10 KG"). This works with WPML WooCommerce disabled, but as soon as I turn it on, labels with umlauts will be empty after saving. I also have encoding issues on the Settings > Shipping site.

Symptoms:
Labels with umlauts become empty after saving when WPML WooCommerce is enabled. There are also encoding issues on the Settings > Shipping site.

Questions:
Why do labels with umlauts become empty after saving when WPML WooCommerce is enabled?
How can I resolve the encoding issues on the Settings > Shipping site?

When I do a fresh install on my local machine, everything seems to work.

But at the existing site removing all other plugins, I get this error which is probably causing the issue. I tried reinstalling WPML and WooCommrce Table Rate Shipping

Hello,

thanks for getting back, since it does not happen in a new fresh install it is probably something related to your website/server.

Can you please try next:

- Make sure you have a backup / staging site
- Disable all other plugins and leave active only WPML plugins, Wocommerce, and Table rate shipping
- Switch to the WP default theme
- Check if the issue still happens.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen
