This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using the WPML String Translation plugin with The Events Calendar and encountering issues where the events page breaks, displaying repetitive text about no upcoming events when the plugin is enabled. Additionally, the country list in Forminator is only partially translated.
Solution:
If you're experiencing these issues, we recommend you follow these steps:
1. Ensure you have a backup of your site.
2. Navigate to WPML > String Translation.
3. Filter for the

admin_text_tribe_events_calendar_options

domain.
4. Select and delete all strings from this domain.
After completing these steps, the events archive should function correctly without the previously mentioned errors.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the WPML String Translation plugin with The Events Calendar. I want to have a properly translated enrolment form using Forminator, but it seems not to work with WPML. The country list is only partially translated when adding a .po file. I need to fix this to start accepting membership fees for our new non-profit organization. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
When the String Translation plugin is enabled, the events page breaks and displays text: '0 events found. There are no upcoming events. There are no upcoming events. Events Search and Views Navigation Search Enter Keyword. Search for Events by Keyword. Find Events Event Views Navigation List List Month Day Today Upcoming Upcoming Select date. Latest Past Events May 30 2025 May 30 @ 9:00 am – 6:15 pm Official […]'. When ST is disabled, the events page works fine and is translated using plugin-native translations.

Questions:
How can I use WPML String Translation with The Events Calendar without breaking the events page?
Why is the country list only partially translated when adding a .po file in Forminator?

Hey there,

Thank you for waiting. I've escalated your ticket for analysis, there's seems to be an issue between your theme, TEC and String Translation (deactivating your theme also solves the issue). I'll let you know as soon as I receive an answer. That usually takes a few days.

Regards,

Hi Lucas,
For some reason I didn't see an email with the reply. I have followed the instructions and indeed, it works. I'm not sure what those strings did, but if I find something odd I'll let you know!

Many thanks,
Arthur
