Background of the issue:
I'm trying to choose a language to insert ads on my site hidden link. In Polylang, I could choose it as taxonomies, but I can't find this option with WPML. I'm using the Ad Inserter plugin.

Symptoms:
I can't choose a language in the Ad Inserter plugin with WPML.

Questions:
How can I choose a language to insert ads using WPML in the Ad Inserter plugin?

Hi,

before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

If this plugin doesn't include compatibility for WPML, there will be no specific UI options.

Since this plugin saves everything in the wp_options table, you can translate all texts as a string via a WPML shortcode. Here's an example that might help: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translate-text-inserted-by-ad-inserter-plugin/#post-15493108.

Does that work for you?

Best regards,
Marcel

No, you didn't understand me. I don't need to translate my ads. I just need to select language for ads, but I can't find it in taxonomies or anywhere else.

Hello,

So if I understood correctly, you used to have a taxonomy (category) for each language that allowed you to filter your posts/products with ?

Could you explain what interface is shown in the screenshot you sent?

I would like to ask for temporary access to your site’s wp-admin and FTP to investigate the issue further.

Kindly provide me with the steps on how to replicate the problem. And possibly screenshots on how it is supposed to work with polylang, I could then see if we have a similar option or not,

It is important to note that you should back up your site and database before proceeding, and you can use a plugin like Duplicator for this purpose. Here’s a link to the plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

If you do not see the form below, please do not enter your credentials as they will be publicly exposed:

Could you explain what interface is shown in the screenshot you sent? - It's plugin Ad Inserter - https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/

I'm sure you can solve the problem without access to my site.

Hello,

Wouldn't it be enough to simply create the ad in the designated language?

I understand that you are not looking to translate your ads, however, if you want to filter or categorize your ads by language, you can create the ads in the designated language.

To do that you need to make sure that the post type created by this plugin (ads) as translatable from WPML > Settings > Post type translation : https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/

Then whenever you create an ad, you should see a language panel on the right where you can assign its language.

I hope this works for you,

Hello,

I also noticed that in the screenshot, you could also select "cookies", maybe you can use "wpml_current_language" cookie to get the current language, select that box and see if you get a language option there.

Best,
