This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is unable to select radio choices on a translated page using WPML with Elementor. The translated form buttons are unselectable, and the default values are incorrect. Solution: The issue of unselectable form buttons was resolved in the latest WPML update (WPML Multilingual CMS 4.7.2). We advised the client to update their WPML plugin by navigating to Plugins > Add new on the Commercial tab and clicking on 'Check for WPML Updates'.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hello,
I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further.
You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to make a backup copy of the website and database before allowing us access.
If you can't see the wp-admin / FTP fields, your post and website credentials are set as PUBLIC. DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.
I may have to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to make a copy of the website where I can investigate the issue further.
However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server yourself for this purpose. This step would only be required if the issue is replicable on such a staging site.
If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Just take note that WPML should be registered on this site again.
If you are unable to provide such a copy of the site for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
You should be able to use Tools > Export and Tools > Import from the Dashboard.
I was able to replicate the issue on a new form. It is not exactly the same issue, but I can confirm that the Advanced Translation Editor is stripping out the "<" sign.

I will give this further tests and escalate it towards our ATE development team.
I was able to fix the 2 years vs 2 ans issue by using + and - instead of < >.
The main remaining issue is the fact that the radio buttons for the default values are still not showing up as pre-selected.
Well, another issue occur upon a form submission. "Your submission was successful" appears in both languages of the form. Yes, the string has been translated in WPML-String Translation.

Hi!
The only workaround I can suggest at the moment, is to translate the Signup Page including its form with the WordPress Editor.
Use "WordPress Editor as translation method on the original page's right sidebar. Then create the translation directly on the translated page inside Elementor:
I see currently the Advanced Translation Editor is still enabled on this page and due to the escalated issues it is currently not possible to translate the form.
You can use the Custom Messages Field on the Form Widget to translate the messages manually on Elementor.
Thank you for the information. The site is not live yet, so I will wait a bit longer for a new update that will fix it.
