This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the system creates a new product instead of recognizing existing records when trying to import product translations using WP All Export and Import for WooCommerce.
Solution:
1. We recommend first disabling WPML and running the import again to test if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is related to WPML or the import process itself.
2. Check the format of your import file. Ensure that the columns have titles and that the data is not jumbled. The file should use commas (",") to separate values, not semicolons (";").
3. If the problem is not related to WPML and is due to the file format or the import process, contact WP All Import Pro's support team for further assistance.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket with us at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I'm trying to import product translations using WP all Export and Import for WooCommerce. We have tested importing a file with English translations for 2 products (file in attachment).

Symptoms:
The system seems unable to recognize the existing records and creates a new product after import.

Questions:
Can you help us solve the issue where the system creates a new product instead of recognizing existing records?

Hey there,

WPML Export and Import is only responsible to assign language information to your imported posts after they're imported, it does not import or export content by itself. If the items are being imported as new entries, there's likely something wrong with the import process, and not with WPML. You can confirm that by disabling WPML and running the import again, to test. If the result is the same, it means this is not WPML related.

If that's the case, you need to review the importing process. Let me know.

Hi there,

I've checked your file and noticed that it's broken — the columns have no titles, and the data appears jumbled. It looks like the file uses semicolons (";") instead of commas (",") to separate values, which could be causing the issue.

This problem is not related to WPML, so you'll need to contact WP All Import Pro's support team for further assistance.

Let me know if you have any questions.
