Hi there!

We previously resolved a language mapping issue here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cannot-send-strings-to-smartling-likely-due-to-language-mapping/

However, we needed to disconnect Smartling to try and fix a bug (three pages were stuck in "In Progress" even though they were completed in Smartling).

When we re-connected Smartling and tried to launch a job, we got the same error message as before "(29) This service does not support translation from en. Rollback jobs... Batch rolled back".

Could you please re-do the language mapping fix that was implemented by Ahmed Mamdouh in the thread linked above? Additionally, we will probably need to implement his fix for ES that he did in this thread too: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/language-mapping-5/#post-13742795

Hi there.

I will get in touch with my colleague, Ahmed and we will be back when there is an update.

I'm leaving the ticket assigned to myself for now.

Kind regards,

Hi Ahmed, thank you for adding the language mappings; I was able to send the jobs to Smartling. However, we are observing the same issue as before where 3 ES pages appear to be stuck "In Progress". The strings are all complete in Smartling, but when we try to pull the translations in WPML it says "none of your jobs have been completed". Is there a known workaround for this issue?

Confirming batch sync in the Translation Management > Jobs view did not work, and this issue did not happen with any of the other similar pages that we localized as part of this project.

Hi,

I've checked your job "Reducing Anxiety" and found that the translated XLIFF that we got from the service is not valid, it contains this translation unit:

<trans-unit id="wpml_trans_unit_1_0_4__5"><source><g ctype="bold" id="gid_0"><g ctype="italic" id="gid_1">Important Note:</g></g> <g ctype="italic" id="gid_2"><g ctype="x-html-span" id="gid_3" xhtml:style="font-weight: 400;">If you're experiencing chronic anxiety, please reach out to [Benefits contact/EAP liaison] or your doctor for the appropriate medical resources and support.</g></g></source><seg-source><mrk mid="1" mtype="seg"><g ctype="bold" id="gid_0"><g ctype="italic" id="gid_1">Important Note:</g></g> <g ctype="italic" id="gid_2"><g ctype="x-html-span" id="gid_3" xhtml:style="font-weight: 400;">If you're experiencing chronic anxiety, please reach out to [Benefits contact/EAP liaison] or your doctor for the appropriate medical resources and support.</g></g></mrk></seg-source><target>
<mrk mid="1" mtype="seg">
<g ctype="bold" id="gid_0">
<g ctype="italic" id="gid_1">
Aviso importante:
</g></g>
<g ctype="italic" id="gid_2">
<g ctype="x-html-span" id="gid_3" xhtml:style="font-weight: 400;">
Si tienes ansiedad crónica, comunícate con [contacto de los beneficios/coordinador del EAP] o consulta a tu médico para recibir apoyo y los recursos médicos adecuados.
</g></mrk></target></trans-unit>

As you can see there is a missing </g> before closing the </mrk> so please let the service know that the XLIFF file is not valid and please let me know the updates.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.
