This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where the translated pages for their team and advisory board were not visible in English and French on their website, despite being translated and published. The pages were only visible in German, and the English page was accessible only when logged in, showing a 404 error when not logged in.

Solution:
We advised the client to check if the translated page status was set to Draft instead of Published. To resolve the issue, we recommended the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML >> Translations page and review/approve the translation.
2. Change the translated page status to Published.
3. If the client wants to publish the translated pages immediately, they should:
- Go to WPML >> Settings > Automatic Translation section and select either the "Publish right away without reviewing" or "Publish right away but mark as not reviewed so I can take a look later" option.
- Go to WPML >> Settings > Translated documents options section and choose the "Publish the translated post when original is also published (default)" option.
We also provided a link to the documentation for more details: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-review-automatic-translations-on-your-site/

Hi there

We are running a German/English/French page at hidden link. A new page for the team and advisory board was translated and published but it is only visible in German language.

The URL for this page is: hidden link - it should be visible as
hidden link in English
hidden link in French
unfortunately both pages are not showing up.

I am able to access the English page at hidden link when logged in. But I get an 404 when not logged in.

Checked that both translations are comitted.

What can I do?

Thanks for your help,
kate

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. It seems the translated page status is set as Draft and not Published that’s why you are facing this issue.

Please go to WPML >> Translations page and review/approve the translation or please try to change the translated page status as Published as you can see in the attached screenshot.

If you want to publish the translated pages right away, please make sure to follow below steps:

1. Go to WPML >> Settings > Automatic Translation section and choose the “Publish right away without reviewing” or “Publish right away but mark as not reviewed so I can take a look later” option as you can see in the attached screenshot.

2. Go to the WPML >> Settings > Translated documents options section and choose the “Publish the translated post when original is also published (default)” option as you can see in the attached screenshot.

Here is a doc for more details:

Please let me know the results,
Thank you

Dear Noman

Thank you very much for your quick response. Unfortunately I was sick until today.

Your hints were very helpful. I adjusted the settings as advised and published the pending translations. This issue is resolved.

Unfortunately I have about 4 different versions of the homepage with status draft in French. Any hints how to detect the latest version?

Best,
kate

Thank you for letting me know, and I'm glad the hints were helpful!

To find the latest version of the homepage in French, please go to Pages >> All Pages and switch to the French language using admin language switcher and check the dates of each draft as you can see in the attached screenshot. The one with the most recent date /time should be the latest version. Let me know if you need any further assistance!

Thank you
