This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is encountering unwanted URLs with /nn/ in their sitemap, despite using /no for Norwegian. The issue persists even though Norwegian URLs are displayed correctly.
Solution:
We discovered that the unwanted /nn/ URLs were appearing because the Norwegian Nynorsk (nn) language had been added and then removed from the site without deleting the associated posts. To resolve this, the client needs to:
1. Ensure that all posts associated with the Norwegian Nynorsk (nn) language are deleted.
2. Remove the Norwegian Nynorsk language from the site settings if it is no longer needed.
This should prevent the /nn/ URLs from appearing in the sitemap.
