Slow performance when switching languages

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

samuelN	Hi, Please refer to the Server info attached. As for the debug plugin, i have installed and activated but its make my site unable to load so I have deleted it.

samuelN	Hi, Now my default language (English) site is loading fine but when I switch to Chinese language, its loaded very slow. Please help to check. Many thanks.

I'll be glad to help you today. 1) Sorry for the late reply. I've checked your site and measured the page load speed, and the speed is average in both languages. (Kindly check this hidden link) 2) Could you please check our guide about using the Query Monitor plugin to check the slow queries on the translated page? (https://wpml.org/tutorials/2019/10/analyze-performance-issues-with-query-monitor/) 3) Also, please Please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps: 1- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML. 2- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one. If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue. ❌ Please backup your database and website before performing the above test ❌ Thanks for your cooperation Regards, Osama
