Somehow the language switcher shows the wrong language on my header

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client updated their website and noticed that the language switcher incorrectly displays 'IT' instead of 'DE' in the header of the Italian page.
Solution:
We reviewed the issue and identified that a specific CSS code was causing the incorrect display of the language in the header. We recommend removing this CSS code to resolve the issue.

Thomas Maier	Background of the issue: I just updated my website and now somehow it shows IT instead of DE in the header of the Italian page (hidden link). Symptoms: The language switcher shows the wrong language on my header. I expected to see DE in the header and not IT (the same language as the page). Questions: Can you check this and let me know what do I make wrong?

Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps? 1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS, String Translation, Elementor, and Elementor Pro. 2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one. Thomas Maier	Hello, I use the Hello Theme which is not the problem. I also tried to deactivate all the plugins except Elementor, Elementor Pro and the WPML Plugins and the issue still persists. Can i send you the credentials to check this out by yourself? Thank you very much, Thomas

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated. Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it. ❌ Please back up your database and website ❌ ✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical. ✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site. Best regards, Osama
