[Resolved] String translation is not working for all products after support interveniton
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are experiencing issues with string translation for all products on your website after support intervention. Solution: To resolve the string translation issue for all products, follow these steps: 1. Edit the template in the original language and make a small change, such as adding a space after the button text. This triggers the update so that it will show in the Advanced Translation Editor. You can remove the space afterward. 2. Open the Advanced Translation Editor. You should see the original text and the English translation filled in. Click the green checkbox to accept this translation. Remember to clear the cache to ensure the changes reflect on the frontend immediately.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Did you set "WordPress Editor" for translation on all product pages? The other engineer says it's not recommended.

"Also another thing I see is that if I go to the single product edit screen the translation is set to Native WordPress editor which is not recommended."

I did not set all pages to be edited using the native WordPress Editor. I have recommended using the WPML translation editor to edit the translations. I just checked and now on hidden link I can see the correct string translation.
Are there any other categories that are still showing the French text on the English template? Let me know and I'll be happy to look further into this. Perhaps there was some issue with caching since I am seeing it correctly now, but did not make any changes to your site.
Here are the steps to resolve this for the rest of the templates:
1. Edit the template in the original language and make a small change (for example, I added a space after the button text Découvrir plus. This triggers the update so that it will show in the Advanced Translation Editor. You can then remove the space when you are done.
2. Open up the Advanced Translation Editor and you will se Découvrir plus and the English translation filled in "Discover more". Click the green checkbox to accept this translation.
Now you are done, but you may need to clear the cache in order for the changes to show on the frontend right away. I can now see it correctly at hidden link
I also retested the steps and it is resolved here as well: hidden link
Since the string is the exact same in the other pages, likely the translation is pulling from translation memory. After updating the custom XML configuration, and editing the first template, the string should have been saved into translation memory. It just requires the update to trigger the button to be updated in the translation editor as well. The only steps I took were updating the custom XML configuration and then the steps in my previous reply.
