This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to set up WPML on your site and are stuck on step 4 of AI translation. The page loads, but you cannot 'save and finish' due to an API loading error. The error message indicates an access control issue, and your server provider claims they are not blocking anything.
Solution:
First, ensure that all necessary domains are whitelisted by your hosting provider. WPML does not use fixed IP addresses for whitelisting; instead, refer to the list of domains here: https://wpml.org/faq/wpml-plugin-cannot-connect-to-wpml-org/.
Next, check for any errors in WPML -> Support -> Advanced Translation Error log. If no errors are found there, and your hosting provider does not support CURL commands, consider adding an info.php file to your server to view server information. This might help identify any server-side issues.

Please note that the solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. This is Andrey speaking. I'll be here to assist you moving forward.

Please update us once you have more information from the hosting provider.

The server told me that they do not perform CURL commands. Their solution is for me to add a info.php to see the info on my server (-‸ლ)

They also told that they checked the WPML domains and that they are not blocked.

Have we hit a wall? Is there something we could check or try from my website or from WPML?

Thank you!

Have you tried to do this?

I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site—preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible—in order to be of better help.
