This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where the job synchronization failed in WPML. Another error, "The Advanced Editor jobs synchronization has failed," appeared when clicking on the Translation management link.

Solution:
We acknowledged the existence of a bug and informed the client that our developers were working on a fix. We directed the client to an errata page for more details:
https://wpml.org/errata/wpml-4-6-9-advanced-editor-job-synchronization-warning-in-wpml/

Subsequently, we released a new version of WPML that included a fix for this issue. We advised the client to upgrade to the latest version (4.6.10 series) after performing a full site backup and then check if the issue was resolved. For more details on the update, we provided a link to the changelog:
https://wpml.org/changelog/2024/04/wpml-4-6-10-and-wcml-5-3-6-ready-for-wordpress-6-5/

If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you first check the errata page and then proceed with updating WPML to the latest version after ensuring you have a full backup of your site. However, if the solution provided here is outdated or does not apply to your case, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Hi Bigul,

Thanks for all your help. It still says that the job Sync failed. I added a translator for the pairs German/Portuguese and Portuguese/German. Selected ONLY the pages, and for some reason, everything on the above mentioned pair was sent to the translator.

I mean, Posts, Pages, Templates, everything, when I selected just pages. See if you can replicate the issue.

Now I cannot even delete jobs on the Translator cue as the error: "This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs" Appears

And the error " The Advanced Editor jobs synchronization has failed" As soon as I click on the Translation management link.

This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs

Jobs Syc Failed

There is definitely something not right in here.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The following error exists in a minimal setup when a translation job's status is either In Progress or Needs Translation. We are still working on this and get back to you as soon as possible. Please wait.

The Advanced Editor jobs synchronization has failed

For your information, I can cancel translation jobs in my local copy from WPML >> Translation Management >> Jobs when their status is In Progress or Needs Translation. Please refer to the following screencast for more details. We cannot delete a translation job after its status becomes Complete. Please verify this and let us know your feedback.
