WPML caused major issues in my website I had to reinstall it I received the following messages There is a problem with the String Translation table in your site. This problem is not causing a problem running the site right now, but can become a critical issue in the future. WPML support team knows how to fix it. Please add a message in the relevant support thread and we'll fix it for you. Please fix this I had to reinstall WPML because the translated version I could never access it was either too slow or inaccessible I also changed the default language of the site from English to French hidden link |

Hello, This looks like your site is missing important WPML database tables or has a corrupted DB entry inside the WordPress Options table. Hello, I am very sorry about the inconvenience, but which provided solution are you referring to, as I did not propose any yet? The issue that you are reporting can have various reasons and I need to have a look into the database in order to determine which steps to take. This is why I requested admin access to the site and I have once more enabled the private reply form. Hi thank you for your response I'm referring to this one https://wpml.org/forums/topic/problem-with-tables-in-the-database-needed-to-report-to-support/ I couldn't let the site be broken for long so I had to restore a backup from before I changed the default language. This time before switching the default language I made sure all the strings were translated and no translation jobs was ongoing I also completed the translations before switching the default language and now the website works I no longer have this critical issue since like I mentionned I restored a previous backup so I don't see that message anymore and the website works. The only issue now is that the english pages should appear as translations of french ones but it's not the case. So now I have to manually unlink and delink translations for the pages and posts so that all english pages become translations of the french pages. Which troublesome and manual. I don't want to give you access to my website unless it's absolutely necessary. I can't afford further delays, or critical testing that could break my site. Now the only issue on my website is the WPML flags that don't appear (I created another ticket for that please someone check it). I might create another ticket for the issue I mentioned(translation memory shows french language even on 'translated' english pages) |

Hello, I am not sure if I am following you exactly here. Does this mean that you switched the site's default language to French and now manually change the original content from English to French so that you can translate automatically from French to English? Take note, that translation memory always works from source to target language. This means, if the source first was English and the target was French and now the site is supposed to run in reverse order, then it is expected that you need to translate everything again. Source: What I can offer in this case, is that we try to clear the translation memory for your site manually on our system. Would you agree with that? Best regards |

Yes exactly! I figured that out already that's why I didn't create a ticket for that please just close this ticket as I asked beforehand and solve my ticket about the flags not showing please!! |
