Background of the issue:
Hi, one of our websites in our multi site installation of WordPress is moved to another server and not maintained by us anymore. We changed the URL for the WordPress admin to survivallife.be but we cannot use the Unregister button (probably because the domain is already changed?). I need to update the plugins.

Screen recording:

Symptoms:
The Unregister button does not change to Register after changing the URL, preventing plugin updates.

Questions:
Can you help us with transferring the license to the new domain?
Why does the Unregister button not change to Register after the URL change?

Hello,

This might be a JavaScript error triggered by a third plugin or the theme.

Do you see any errors inside the console when trying to unregister?

---

Steps to take:

Create a staging site and try running it with a minimal setup to see if the issue persists:

1) Deactivate any additional plugins that are unrelated to WPML and our add-ons.

2) If the issue goes away, start reactivating plugins one at a time or activate them in small groups. This way, check where the issue recurs to identify the plugin causing the issue.

3) If this doesn't resolve the issue, please switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-One to see if the issue might be theme-related.

Once we identify the cause, we can attempt to replicate the issue and then escalate it internally. I will provide a test site with WPML in this case.

If you're unable to set up a copy of your website, please let me know, and I'll be happy to assist you.

Best regards,
Andreas

No errors, this is way too much work for a simple license..

I see it's calling admin-ajax.php with response:

{
"success": true,
"data": {
"allCount": 0,
"allAutomaticCount": 0,
"automaticWithoutLongstandingCount": 0,
"needsReviewCount": 0
}
}

and 2nd time:

{"output":"featured"}

Please help

Hello,

I would like to offer to take a closer look and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are located below the comments section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up your website and database before granting us access.
If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and website credentials will be set to "PUBLIC." DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to create a copy of the website so I can investigate the issue further.

The private reply form looks like this:

Sorry but this is way too much work for a simple issue like this, we just need to change the domain from campingpolleur.be to survivallife.be, that should be easy for you to do on your license system

Hello,

We can sadly not change the site URLs for you.

You need to enter any site URL on:
https://wpml.org/account/sites/

Then copy the site key and enter it inside WordPress on Plugins > Add new by opening the Commercial tab. In the top right corner, you should see a link to register WPML.

It might be the case that WPML still appears registered, so you need to use the mentioned link to first turn it off.

Note:
WPML must be re-registered after each website migration or after changing the domain or domain provider.

1) Go to https://wpml.org/account/websites/

2) If the site URL is already registered, delete it from the list.

3) Re-enter the site URL. This will create a new site key.

4) Click "Show key" and copy it.

5) Enter the key under Plugins > Install > Commercial (tab) to re-register WPML. If WPML is still registered there, de-register it first.

If the problem persists, please let me know.

Best regards,
Andreas

My apologies, but it seems you changed the WordPress Login directory with "WPS Hide Login" to something else.

I can not access the login form at /wp-admin or /wp-login.php

The private reply form is enabled again, so that you can provide me with the complete login URL.
