This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to display the same galleries in both Italian (main language) and English (secondary language), but the galleries are showing different images in the translated version, particularly the first image being replaced with a copy of the last one.
Solution:
We recommend editing the gallery in the primary language (Italian) and then saving the changes by clicking the 'Salva' button. After saving, retranslate the page to synchronize the galleries across languages. This approach should ensure that the galleries display the same images in both languages. If you find that the issue persists, it might be due to a recent update or another underlying issue.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to show the same galleries in Italian (main language) and English (secondary). I never had this issue before. When I click translate, I have only the strings of text to be translated, and that's okay. I click to confirm the translation, but when I go to the translated page, the galleries are showing some wrong images. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
Galleries with slightly different images, in particular, the first is replaced with a copy of the last one.

Questions:
Why are the galleries showing different images in the translated version?
How can I ensure the galleries display the same images in both languages?

Thanks for your reply. I've edited the English language page using Elementor and the image selection looks correct. However, on the frontend, it's not displaying correctly and I will have to escalate this for further investigation. I kindly ask for a snapshot of the site. Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one myself. For this purpose, I typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you're already familiar with Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.

To guide you further, please adhere to these instructions:

1. View the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link

2. Consult WPML's instructions on providing supporters with a copy of your site: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

3. If the archive file exceeds 400MB, please use Duplicator's file filters to exclude cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.

Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.

Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the file link there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.

Yes, I checked ad it seems fixed now. It's strange because I tried the very same thing the day before and it didn't work, maybe it's something that got fixed with WordPress 6.8.1 update on the May 1st?

Anyway, thank you for your help!
