Background of the issue:
I am trying to add ACF blocks to a page in Dutch and translate it to English. After editing the page in Dutch and adding a new ACF block between existing blocks, I sync it with English. I use the classic editor/WordPress editor for the best UX experience for the author of the pages. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The new block is added in the wrong order in English (not the same as Dutch), causing the text to be messed up. The ACF fields in the second language are in a different order, and the translated text is in the wrong ACF blocks after adding a new block in the main language.

Questions:
How can I ensure the ACF fields remain in the same order across different languages?
Why is the translated text appearing in the wrong ACF blocks after syncing?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum.

If you use the WordPress editor to translate your content then WPML won't be able to synchronize your fields. Also, the "Multilingual Mode" should be different when using the WordPress editor.

Please refer to this documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/

In short:
- "Same fields across languages" should be used with our editor
- "Different fields across languages" should be used with the WordPress editor

Note that "Different fields across languages" will use the translation preference "copy once" for all your fields. That means that your ACF fields will be copied only when you create the translation for the first time.
Any changes done afterwards, will require you to manually update the translation too. That means that you will have to create the new block manually on the translation.
