Problem:
The client wanted their website, which is configured in English, to automatically display in French when visitors arrive. Additionally, they encountered an issue where the language switcher was not visible on the room page, and they were interested in having a different presentation of the language switcher, such as a list with flags.
Solution:
We addressed the first issue by explaining that the default language set in WPML is the one that appears when the site loads. To change the default language, we provided a link to the relevant documentation: Changing the default language.
Furthermore, we suggested using the option to redirect users to their browser language, which would automatically direct them to the French version of the site if their browser is set to French. This can be set up following the instructions here: Automatic redirect based on browser language.
