hello
I enabled the hide language for my other three languages and it should hide the languages from frontend and from search engines.
it worked for frontend but it did not hide anything from search engines. It is being crawled by search engines. Please check.
Main domain is: eclergys.com
French Domain: clergys.fr
German Domain: clergys.de

Hello,

I am trying to access your shared domains, but they are not accessible to me, so there could be some different issues. I advise checking if they work when WPML is disabled.

As for your issue with indexing, if language is hidden it should not be accessible by bots, Maybe you are using an SEO plugin and have submitted a sitemap with all of these links, or just it was indexed while it was not hidden.

There is also tools in Google webmaster console you can use to check if URLs is indexable or not, that might be correct way to check.

Please check and let us know further info.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

Could it be that those entries were already listed before the languages were hidden from Frontend?

The reason might be that the German site has 12 sitemaps with entries that this is why they appear on Google.

hidden link

Please try to force a manual sitemap update in Yoast:

1) Disable the sitemap feature
2) Clear the cache
3) Enable the sitemap feature to force the sitemap to rebuild.

Does this solve the issue?

Best regards
Andreas
