This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is unable to add a Greek translation to their website.
Solution:
We recommend following these troubleshooting steps:
1. Navigate to WPML → Support in your WordPress admin dashboard.
2. Click the "Troubleshooting" link below the list of plugin versions.
3. In the "Clean up" section, perform the following actions:
• Clear the WPML cache
• Remove ghost entries from translation tables
• Fix element_type collation
• Synchronize local job IDs with ATE jobs
• Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
• Set language information
• Fix post type assignment for translations
Please ensure you have a full backup of your website before proceeding.
If the issue persists after these steps, try updating the page translation by:
1. Modifying the original page slightly and saving it.
2. Navigating to the WPML translation editor to complete the Greek translation.
If these solutions do not resolve the issue, it might be because they are outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.
