Background of the issue:
I have translated my full site into Russian language yesterday, also slugs have been translated into cyrillic.
I want to set slugs in Russian language in latin characters in English on my site at this page in wpml:
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sitepress-multilingual-cms%2Fmenu%2Ftaxonomy-translation.php

Symptoms:
When I click on save (please see screenshot) the window remains stuck without saving and displaying no errors. I just have to close it.

Questions:
How can I set slugs in Russian language using Latin characters in English instead of Cyrillic (I want to leave titles and description in cyrullic though)?

I'll add some other info.
The previous message regards the update of a taxonomy, even if I translate a taxonomy from scratch there's a strange behaviour in the translator box which keeps spinning without ever saving, so you're forced to just close it, please see screenshot.
In other languages there are no problems in saving and editing taxonomies, just Russian.

First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.

1) Could you please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment by following these steps?

1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.

If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.

2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?
You can read a detailed explanation about it here. (http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support)
The debug info will give me a lot of information about how your site is configured.

Hi,

I discovered that the cause was BitNinja firewall, which in the past days caused some problems on our server.
So nothing wrong on WPML end.
