Problem with translation and display of texts after uninstalling and reinstalling WPML.
Questions:
How can I fix the translation and display issues after reinstalling WPML?
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.
I understand the issue here is the new content of the page isn't available in the Advanced Translation Editor for translation. Based on the debug info, I see you are using the Classic Editor plugin so I suggest you follow the workaround in the ticket below to use the Block editor to make changes to the original page and see if it helps. https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cannot-translate-posts-in-wordpress-editor/#post-15984210
1. Deactivate the plugin Classic Editor.
2. Edit the post with Block editor.
3. Hover over the content and click on "Convert to blocks".
4. Make a small change to the post content > Save.
5. Update the translation in ATE.
If it does not help, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks
