Background of the issue:
I have published Bulgarian translations on my website, but they are not being displayed. The issue can be seen at hidden link. I have previously reported this issue multiple times but have not received any feedback.

Symptoms:
Bulgarian translations are not displayed on the website.

Questions:
Why are the Bulgarian translations not displayed on the website?
What steps can be taken to resolve this issue?

Hi,

This ticket has been inactive for quite a while. I didn't get a reply from you. So, I've transformed this chat into a support ticket because you may still need our help. If you do, please reply to this ticket, and one of our supporters will continue helping you.

As we could see in the chat, the problem was solved by following the steps I gave you.

1. Make a small change on the original German page. (You can add a space or a comma.)
2. Click the Update button.
3. This will trigger a change to the translation. You should see the circled arrow icon instead of the pencil icon.
4. Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Dashboard and send this page for translation.
5. Complete the translation with the Advanced Translation Editor.
6. Check if it solves the issue.

Please repeat those steps for other pages with the same problem.

Hello!

I can't replace a text everywhere for 220 subpages, especially since we have already paid for the automatic translation.
It seems to be a bug of WPML. How do we fix it?

Hi,

Please try WPML's troubleshooting section.

1. Take a backup of your site's DB.

2. Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting (link)

3. Once on the troubleshooting screen, press the following buttons and check if it helps. Press each button at a time and wait for the process to complete.

- 'Disable cache for language switcher templates'

- 'Clear language information and repopulate languages' button (if it is showing)

- 'Synchronize posts taxonomies' for 'Pages'

- 'Clear the cache in WPML'

- 'Remove ghost entries from the translation tables'

- 'Fix element_type collation'

- 'Fix WPML tables collation'

- 'Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs'

- 'Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE'

- 'Assign translation status to duplicated content'

- 'Set language information'

- 'Reset languages' Press this button only if you didn't add a custom language!

- 'Fix terms count'

- 'Fix post type assignment for translations'

- 'Cleanup and optimize string tables'

- 'Clear invalid strings'


*** Please backup your database before using this! ***
*** Do not use WPML's Reset option at the bottom of the page! ***

If the above procedure does not help, please let me know if you have a staging site. A staging site is a copy of your site on the same server where the issue occurs. If you have, I'll give you further instructions on what to do on the staging site. You can also give me access to the staging site. For this, I'm enabling a private message for the next reply.

We have newer versions for WPML and Strings Translation. Please see the attached screenshot.

Can you please update our plugins and check if the problem persists?

Meanwhile, I'm consulting our second-tier supporters about this issue.

It is weird that you couldn't see that WPML and Strings Translation have new versions. As you can see in my previous screenshot, I enabled it. And I've done it again now. This makes me think that your site has been restored from a backup.

Could this be the case?

Maybe this is also the reason that the Bulgarian translations do not show.

Hi,

Our second-tier supporter instructed me to check things on your site. He asked me to edit a page with the problem with WPML's Classic or Advanced Translation Editor and see if all the strings from the original German page exist. He explained that it is possible that while jobs were in progress, the client (you) modified the content, which might have caused this problem. A few hours ago, I was able to log into your site. But now the link you provided to log into your site is not working anymore. The link is not taking me to the admin of WordPress; instead, I'm being redirected to the homepage of your site.

Can you please check this issue so we can proceed?

The link is not redirecting me to the site's homepage but to the login screen. Please see the attached screenshot. However, I'm not being logged in as it worked before.
