This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where the review page does not load and the clock-symbol stays indefinitely after translating content with WPML, it might be due to a conflict with a third-party plugin or theme.
Solution:
We recommend following these steps to identify and resolve the issue:
1. Create a full site backup.
2. Update any outdated plugins or themes.
3. Flush any cache memory that might exist.
4. Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones.
5. Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty.
6. Reactivate the WPML plugins.
7. Go to WPML -> Translation Management and send one of the contents for translation again to create a new translation job.
8. If the issue disappears, reactivate your original theme and then the rest of the plugins one by one to identify the culprit.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, or if the solution provided here becomes outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should the problem persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to automatically translate 3 pages on my site hidden link using WPML. I initially ran out of credits but have since loaded more credits and completed the translation of these pages. I have chosen to review the translations before publishing and it worked fine (see first 3 items on sceenshot). But since the run-out-of-credits issue the whole pocess got stuck.

Symptoms:
In the review section, the page does not load, and the clock-symbol stays indefinitely.

Questions:
Why does the review page not load after completing the translation?
How can I resolve the issue of the clock-symbol staying indefinitely during the review process?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

I suspect this issue might be caused by a conflict with a third-party functionality (plugin or theme). Please follow these steps to isolate the cause of the issue:
- Create a full site backup
- Update any outdated plugins or themes
- Flush any cache memory that might exist
- Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones
- Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty
- Activate the WPML plugins
- Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Send one of the contents for translation again (this will create a new translation job)
- If the issue disappeared, start by activating the theme and then the rest of the plugins, one by one, until the issue appears again and you find the culprit.

Can you tell me the results of the steps described above?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi, my week was busy, this is why I could not yet test if my issue is resolved. Please keep my thread open, I hope to find time to test today and then close the ticket myself. 🙂

Hi Carlos,

Just in reply to your kind answer:

- Create a full site backup DONE
- Update any outdated plugins or themes EVERYTHING UPDATED
- Flush any cache memory that might exist NO CACHE - IT IS A PRODUCTION SITE
- Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones DONE
- Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty I USE 2025 PLUS CHILD (which changes only some colors, fonts), I DID WHAT YOU SAID
- Activate the WPML plugins DONE
- Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Send one of the contents for translation again (this will create a new translation job) DONE
- If the issue disappeared, start by activating the theme and then the rest of the plugins, one by one, until the issue appears again and you find the culprit.

Sorry, but nothing changed. There is one page, I translated it at about 5 times now (overwriting the previous translation) and it still does not show up.

I also have a ticket open with another supporter (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/set-up-wpml-on-a-fse-site/) and there I did a short screencast documenting my problem (in German however, as the supporter speaks German). This is just FYI, it makes no sense to have 2 tickets open dealing with the same problem, so I stick with the other tread. My reply here is just not to let your kind reply go uncommented. 🙂

Warm regards and I am still full of hope that we will solve the whole thing..

So you can close this ticket upon reading!
