Background of the issue:
I am trying to maintain Spanish translations for pages on my site hidden link. These pages have been translated from English to Spanish.
Symptoms:
Spanish translated pages change overnight back to English on a handful of posts and pages.
Questions:
Why do Spanish translated pages revert to English overnight?
Is there a known issue with WPML that causes translations to revert?
Could the ACF plugin be affecting the translations?
I suspect this is being caused by a third party plugin on your website. Usually, performance plugins can cause this behavior. Since we cannot reproduce the issue directly, we can create a staging version of your website with all plugins deactivated, and compare the behavior between live website and staging website.
Please do as follows:
1. Create a staging version of the website and leave only WPML Multilingual CMS activated in it;
2. Leave the live website as is;
3. Once the issue happens again on the live website, check if it also happened on the staging version, where all plugins are deactivated;
Please return with your results. If the issue is not occurring on the staging version, we can activate the plugins in small batches, to find the one responsible for the issue. I know this is quite a time-consuming process, so I greatly appreciate your cooperation.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Actually, if the content being reverted contains ACFs, it's necessary that both ACF and ACFML (Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual) are activated. Let me know how it goes.
It's necessary that we can check if the content is being reverted or not.
