This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to translate a specific segment of their website because it was not being sent for translation through WPML's Translation Management. The segment in question was the browser-generated text for file input fields, such as "Examinar... No se ha seleccionado ningún archivo."

Solution:

We informed the client that the text they were trying to translate is actually generated by the web browser and not by the website itself. Therefore, it cannot be translated via WPML. This text will automatically appear in the language that the user's browser is set to. We recommended the client to test this by using different browsers or changing the browser's language settings to see the text change accordingly. If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend you to verify if the text is indeed coming from the browser. If it is, then it will not be possible to translate it through WPML or any other part of your website. Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket.

Hello,

After some time trying to replicate the issue mentioned in the ticket:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/string-translation-not-working-14/

We have concluded that the problem was on our end due to cache. However, we still have issues translating a segment that is not being sent for translation, the segment from:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/string-translation-not-working-14/#post-15432613

When we send the page for translation through the Translation Management, that segment isn't sent for translation, and we can't translate it manually either.

Can you please guide us on how we could translate it?

The form is on the page:
hidden link
In WordPress, the page is called Home.

Thank you, regards.

Hello there,

Thanks for contacting WPML support.

The text from the "Examinar... No se ha seleccionado ningún archivo." field can't be translated because it's not coming from your site directly, but it comes from the browser.

You can see this by using a different browser, for example Chrome and Firefox shows different texts for the same field.

Also, if you switch the browser language, the field will appear in the browser language even if the form is not translated, please check the screenshot where it displays the text in Portuguese according to my browser's language definition.

Regards,
Mateus

Hello Mateus,

Thank you for your response.

We have tried with several languages in the browser and indeed, the text changes.

Thank you for your help, regards.
